Thirty years old Indian mother Harjit Kaur died in Victoria after minor procedure

Indian born mother of two, Harjit Kaur, died while in recovery after surgical abortion. She unexpectedly fell pregnant after she landed a new IT job with Nike. She had to made tough decision and schedule an abortion for 12^th January at the Hampton Park woman’s Health Clinic in Melbourne.

Ms Kaur was preparing to buy a family home with her husband to raise their two children. One four years old daughter and one two years old son. When she discovered she had accidentally fallen pregnant, the busy mom was not mentally or financially ready to have third child and made decision to have an abortion.

Doctor who performed surgery stood down voluntarily pending clearance of any surgical cause of death. Investigation continues to find the cause of the Ms Kaur’s death.
