How to find accommodation in Australia:
Finding accommodation in Australia is easier than in India. I am sharing some tips which will help you to find accommodation in Australia. In India, you need to pay commission to the agent to find an accommodation while in Australia you can find accommodation online and don’t need to pay anything to agent. Agent gets commission from the owner. Usually 5% of total rent plus GST.
New Migrant:
It is best idea to find and book an accommodation before coming to Australia. This way you will have place to live and don’t have to live in hotel. You can check Indians Facebook page where people usually advertise if they have spare room available. It is good idea to share house with someone so you don’t have to pay all rent and can save money. When you rent in Australia through real estate agent they usually ask you to pay 4 weeks rent as bond and 2 weeks rent in advance. Make sure everything in writing if you are going to live with friends in shared accommodation.

Agent provides you property inspection report with house keys and you must return property inspection report within 14 days of the contract signed.
