$130 fine for not following E-scooter rule in Brisbane

Do you ride E-scooter in Brisbane? If so, you must follow some rules. Failing to follow those rules may result $130 fine.

E-scooter is very popular in Brisbane. The price to ride any Lime vehicle is $1 to unlock the bike and $0.15 per minute. But you must follow some simple rules, or your trip will cost you $130 fine.

  1. Rider must wear helmet. I have seen many e-scooter riders without helmet. Do not hire scooter if there is no helmet. There is no excuse not to wear helmet. You may get fine for not wearing helmet.
  2. E-scooter must stay on footpath. Rider can not ride E-scooter on road
  3. Doubling is not allowed on scooter. E-scooter is for one person only. Two people can not ride on one scooter
  4. Drink driving also applies for E-scooter. You may get $130 file for that.

So always follow rules and have fun on E-scooter.

Another rule I did not know but recently watch on news. NSW driver fined $448 for having dirty car. You could cop a heavy fine for having a car so dirty that your number plates aren’t displayed cleanly and clearly.

Recently one car driver was fined $448 and 3 points for not having car plate visible.
