How does Monkeypox spread and its symptoms

After COVID-19, now new virus is emerging in the world called Monkeypox. So, what is monkeypox virus and how It spreads?

Monkeypox was first discovered in monkeys in 1958, hence the name of the virus is monkeypox. The first human case of monkeypox was recorded in 1970 in Congo.

Monkeypox is thought to be transmitted by direct and prolonged face-to-face contact. It is also possible Monkeypox can be spread by direct contact with body fluids of infected person or with virus-contaminated objects such as bedding or clothing.

Transmission of the monkeypox virus among humans is limited but it can happen.

Symptoms of Monkeypox:

Monkeypox symptoms includes skin rash, fever, body ache, headache, chills, swollen lymph nodes. It has similar symptoms to smallpox but milder.

Due to rising cases of Monkeypox Indian government has issues an alert.
