An Indian man, Manmeet Alisher, 29 years old was burnt alive in random attack in Brisbane south. He was passionate singer and well loved in Punjabi community. 48 years old man was arrasted and charged for the attack.
How it happened:
Manmeet was driving a bus in Moorooka in Brisbane. A 48 years old passenger climbed on his bus at Moorooka at 9 AM and hurled an incendiary device at him. The flames were all the way up to the ceiling; the whole front cabin was just ablaze.
Bus passangers including some children and their mothers were able to escape. Six passangers have been treated for smoke inhalation and minor injuries.
“It’s devastating news hard to believe he was our hero. It’s very big loss to Punjabi community across the world,” Baldev Singh said.
Shock and anger has already started to emerge among other bus drivers, who’ve long bemoaned the lack of government action on driver safety.
Police said the attack was random and the attacker was known by police.
