Indian national nurse Dimple Grace Thomas jailed for 2 and half year in Melbourne.
She may be deported to India after her release. On 18th August at 1:30PM Dimple was driving Mitsubishi lancer which collided other car which was driven by Ashlea Allen, who was 7 months pregnant.
Ms Allen suffered severe pain and underwent an emergency caesarean in the hospital, but her daughter died 2 days later. Dimple drove on the wrong side at speed of 60 KMPH. She did not see Ms Allen’s car and the card collided.
As per dimple’s lawyer dimple was inexperienced and nervous driver. She was confused about the intersection and that was the reason for the accident. But Judge found design and instruction was clear at intersection sign. Dimple had been at the intersection many times and always obeyed the sign so this accident was her clear mistake.
Dimple the former nurse who has young child, must serve 15 months in the jail before she is eligible for parole. She may be deported to India after her release.
