A 35-year-old, father of four, stabbed to death after he went outside home to investigate a power cut. All his children believed to be aged under 10. Mr Basith was moved to Australia several years back. He owned a local Indian restaurant and has worked in IT.
As per his friend Mr Basith was very motivated and hard working. He was about to open another restaurant. Mr Basith was well-known in local community and always helping others. His friend said “He would open his house to everyone. We were very close. I can’t believe it”
Detective said police were following several lines of inquiry and did not believe the attack was random. The weapon is yet to find. More to come.
