Two Indian tourists, aged 63 and 60, bailed on alleged sex assault at Mount Gravatt shopping centre

Two Indian tourists have been granted bail after pleading not guilty to sexual assault in Brisbane.

The men, aged 63 and 60, faced Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday on five charges of sexual assault.

Court documents allege the pair indecently assaulted five women at the Mount Gravatt shopping centre in Brisbane’s south on Monday.

The court heard the pair, who arrived in Australia in May for a baby shower, were accused of trying to grab the women by the hand and pull them close to kiss them.

One of the men is also accused of trying to grope one woman’s chest.

The pair’s defence lawyer said they should be released on conditional bail to stay with family members in Brisbane.

The pair were granted bail and their case was adjourned to July 30.
