Woolworths is recalling its Two Cleaning Products



Woolworths is recalling its cleaning products sold national wide. Two cleaning products, Essential Domestic Regular cleaner (1.25L) and Essential domestic cleaner Fresh (1.25L), has faulty child resistant caps. The recall applies to these two products with use by dates up to June 2019 (including June 2019)

The affected product has been sold in Woolworths supermarkets and Metro stores nationwide from April 2016 to 18 July 2018.

Defect: The child resistant cap may be faulty and as a result the product may leak.

Hazard: Essentials Domestic Cleaner is a poisonous substance. If the product leaks it may pose a health risk to consumers and possible damage to property.

What to do: Customers should wear gloves and immediately dispose of the contents by flushing down the sink with plenty of running water. Wipe any affected areas with a damp white cloth. Customers need to rinse the bottle and cap with water and present the rinsed-out bottle and/or a purchase receipt to any Woolworths supermarket or Metro store for a full refund.
